FESTIVAL INCUBATOR:

• Red River Cultural District is a home to 13 popular festivals and events that are hosted in the Red River Cultural District

SUPPORTING LOCAL ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS: 

• Hot Summer Nights 2024 provided paid opportunities to 544 artists and musicians 
• Free Week 2024 provided paid opportunities to 300+ artists and musicians 
• Cultural District has supported and estimated 5000+ paid opportunities through RR produced festival and events since 2017

EMPLOYMENT 

• The Cultural District is home to 1,000+ jobs annually across music, tourism, food and beverage and hospitality industries; with additional job growth during spring festival season and large events including South By Southwest

EMERGENCY AID FUNDING 

• RRCD Distributed $200,000+ in relief funds to 3,000+ central Texas residents, specifically those out of work in the music economy during COVID-19 Pandemic (2020-2021) thanks to #BandingTogetherATX

STREET AND SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS 

• Red River secured over $1,500,000 in funding for safety improvements and beautification enhancements downtown

PRODUCTION: 

• RRCD presents two annual district-wide live music programs including Free Week and Hot Summer Nights – both of which are admission-free, all-ages, multi-genre music festivals 

POLICY: 

• RRCD is a day to day voice and advocate for CITY POLICY INITIATIVES that will enhance the Cultural District and overall health and maturity of the Live Music economy in Austin. To date RRCD has been a leader, contributor, and voice in crafting over 25+ policies that demonstrate direct impacts (some positive and other not ) to the Red River Cultural District.
