The Red River Cultural District has always been the heartbeat of Austin’s live music scene. From legendary venues to community-driven festivals, this neighborhood thrives when people come together to experience music, food, and culture side by side.

That’s why we’re launching Why Not Wednesdays—a new monthly tradition designed to keep Austin connected to the District all year long.

What It Is

• When: Third Wednesday of every month
• Time: 6:00 – 9:00 PM
• Where: 4 participating Red River venues including Stubb’s Indoors, Chess Club, The 13th Floor, Feels So Good 
• What: 1 ticket = entry to all 4 venues featuring 11 bands
• Entry: Wristband pick up with proof of ticket purchase begins as early as 4pm on 11/19 at Feels So Good
• Cost:  $11 for 11 bands
• Who: 11 local Austin bands across 4 iconic Red River locations
• What’s cool: The unique, walkable, venue-to-venue experience that only Red River offers.
• Ticket Details: ALL TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED ONLINE UP TO 9PM ON 11/19. DOOR SALES NOT AVAILABLE.
• Proceeds: Why Not Wednesdays is a fundraiser for the Red River Cultural District, a 501C-3.

Red River Wednesdays were created to keep our community gathering in the District, not just on weekends or during big festivals, but as part of Austin’s everyday rhythm.

• For artists: Guaranteed pay, directly supported by ticket sales.
